Why does my computer suck?

So recently I just built my first computer. It should rock, but for some reason it doesn't. Im using:

8 Gb G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 memory
HD Radeon 7850 video card
AMD Phenom II X4 3.4ghz
Asus M4A87TD EVO Motherboard
Rosewill XTREME Series RX750-S-B 750 watt Power Supply.

Especially with the video card I have, reviewers have said "Oh this game will max out graphics with no problem!" I just had to set Starcraft 2 to its lowest settings.... and it STILL lagged like hell. What could be the problem?

(Im thinking its a possiby crappy motherboard, but Im not too sure.)

update drivers, use game booster to close other processes, dont have norton, make sure you have 10% or more free space on your hard drive

Drivers all updated? What are your cpu/gpu temps? I'm not too familiar with starcraft 2. Are any other games running poorly? What's your internet speed?

It may be your power supply bacause its a lower end unit.

Oh, my download speeds are also really lame. It took me about 4 hours to download Blacklight Retribution, and its taking about 1255 minutes to download Aion......... This should absolutely not be happening. Im using a 30 dollar Trendnet, but the internet shouldn't feel like watching a snail race.

I have a Terabyte hard drive barely used. I could check the Ram though. Though even if one of them is faulty, 4 gigs should still run things pretty decently, right?

Cpu is at 33 celcius when idle. I think I've seen it in the upper 40s after gaming though. Its quite cool, so its definitely not a heating problem.

Blacklight Retribution has twitchy graphics, and the game cant keep up with my movements. Those are the only two i've tested so far though.

4 gigs is enough. Is starcraft played online? Do you have the most up-to-date LAN or wireless device driver? Try resetting your router too.

Well my netbook is running perfectly as far as internet goes, so the problem is definitely my computer.

Drivers for the video card, and Wireless card are up to date. So far I've only played Starcraft offline. Im almost afraid to see how it plays against other people right now. lol.

Like I said, I'd test your HDD and RAM. Just because it's new doesn't mean it can't be bad.

When I first built my current rig I would encounter issues installing software. Eventually found out my RAM was bad.

Test your ram and hard drive. If no errors were found, reinstall the game. If it still has bad performance, I'm gonna guess either the GPU or PSU are bad.
