Ok so, as my birthday is next week and I'm hoping to god that I get the cash for a new build.
I've decided to an AMD build which is in one of my prev. threads. Now what I was thinking, if my budget would allow me to, I'd get an Intel build then instead. heres a list:

Corsair Carbide 300R Case
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 S1155 Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3570K / 3.4 GHz
XFX Radeon HD 6870
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8GB DDR3 1600
Crucial M4 64GB SSD

The PSU is missing because I am going to re-use my Nexus RX-7000 700W psu.

The total price would then be: €671,26

I don't know if I will have the cash for this build. The only thing that will really change if I don't get it is the Mobo and CPU. Then It would an ASRock Extreme4 AM3+ and Phenom 2 x4 965

What are you asking again? I see most of the parts except HDD and CPU cooler.

Im gonna be using an SSD... CPU cooler will come later as Im going for a full liquid loop.

save your money and get a 2500k. There is little to no difference in games for it.

True, but I also want to see what the difference between Sandy and Ivy is. Just curious lol. but yeah 2500k might be a better choice, but then agian over here the 2500k costs 200€ and the 3570k costs €220.

just think of it like this. if you 2500k, then you have 20 more euros to put into a GPU or some other better part.

For 20 more and going liquid later, just get the 3570K and be done with it. You wont be 3 month later and saying, damn I wish I have got the 3570K. But if you stay with a air cooler get the 2500K.

Hey Raz3rD. We discussed everything you listed there only since we talked about it, Ivy Bridge has been released. I can tell you now that Ivy Bridge is not really that much faster than Sandy Bridge and overclocking has not really improved, however you may want to get the 3570K over the 2500K now because it's newer, and it's always good to have "the latest and greatest".

All the other parts look good!

Yeah thats what I thought, and I'm future proofing myself abit more but I still have atleast 1 week to decide so :)

You don't have to buy right after your 18th do you? There's nothing pressuring you to buy is there?

No, just that I'm kind of tired of having No steady frame rate on cod4 but thats a CPU issue which will be upgraded when I get the new build :D I want Salvage to be alive and hang with the Mid end builds lol...

But I'm still thinking of going for the 3570K, but I could also use that cash for the GPU if I get the 2500k instead.

I'm gonna be ordering these parts on monday the 14th at earliest anyway. But 1 thing is 100000% sure. The case WILL be a Corsair 300R because its sexy andstuff lol
