Huge overclock with stock cooling!

Hey, I got my core 2 duo e4300 from 1.8 GHz Stock to 3.0 GHz!A whole 1.2 GHz overclock! And you may say, okay, thats a resonable overclock, but it has stock cooling from intel!I ran Prime95 stable for 6 hours, and the max temp got to 70 celcius.

I guess that's not too too bad at load, but I'd still get an aftermarket cooler myself.

Its great with stock cooling! My windows expiernene index (i know its not a real benchmark, but still) went from 4.8 to 6.4.I mean 70 C with only stock cooling is great with a 1.2 GHz overclock.I dont have any money to spend on upgreades, so no cooler.

Pretty good overclock with a stock cooler. Wouldn't go any higher than that though.

You may wanna invest in an aftermarket cooling solution when you have some money. As I said in my PMs to you, a Freezer 13 or Freezer 7 or Hyper 212+ are all good choices, they should work on the 775 board too. :)

You said I shoulnt go any higher when I was at 2.6 ghz, now im at 3.0 ghz!Should a 1.2 ghz oc do wonders for gaming?

assuming you are rock solid stable and your RAM is stable too (assuming it was done through FSB which would push your RAM higher too), then your 3GHz should be much better gaming.

Okay, I know its rock solid, nearly 18 Hours of stress testing and it remained stable with a max temp of 71c. I set Prime95 on blend mode, and I know that checks the ram.
