Hello all,
I have a amd anthlon 64 x2 5050e, on a ecs iris 1.0 motherboard. My current video card is an onboard card a nvidia geforce 6150e nforce 430. I want to play the new diablo but I need a better card before I can do so. So my question is whats a decent card I can get thats compatable with what im currently running and will still be decent enough to put into a new setup when i upgrade. Thanks much

Budget?
Personally, I would wait for lower end kepler cards, (6XX sries), but if you need it now, I would get radeon for new features.

Mid end and below, nvidia doesn't make kepler cards for yet.

Hate to say it...but high end cards will be severely limited by that cpu, id go mid range at the highest...with plans to change CPU + Mobo + Ram to get more out of the gpu.

If its anything like WoW, its going to want some cpu to back it up, but yes a mid range card should handle it okay.

-looked at the system requirements, may want a upper midrange card to get a good experience, seems a bit on the heavy side in terms of comparing to wow...its a different animal i suppose

so you think ill need a new power supply if i add a video card?

It's depends, what came with it? I saw a Site with that motherboard, and it came with a Compaq, so if it came with a compaq, you will need a new power supply. So, your budget should be $160 for a pretty good setup, $150 might be to little.
