I am building a new computer (AMD) one. So, no Intel suggestions please.
This is what my current build is:

OS: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Retail (Getting that through Walmart)
Cheaper Than newegg.com

Case: My old (Atop Z-Alien) has 3 case fans. 2 - 120's Front and back
and an 80 in the side of case. And this case is keeping my 955 Deneb
processor at about 30c. On a after market Arctic Cooling 64.

My only concern is the video cards. 160.00 US is my limit since I have limited funds to build this thing.

be my 6th computer bult. I have built computers for family and friends.
 
you can save $20 by getting a FX6100 and just OCing it via multiplier to 3.8 and still get the same exact performance as the 6200.

He's already got a CPU, PSU, board and RAM...

I'd go for the ASUS 6850 over the PowerColor one.
 
Yeah he could have done. He could have also saved some money on the power supply too. 750W is overkill for a single 6850. Really a decent 600W unit such as the Corsair CX600 would have been enough.
 
I have the Asus 6850, it's served me pretty well so far, I don't usually see it get very hot. I think it peaks at around 60c, but it works like a dream so far. It has an advantage of coming with a crossfire connector that the powercolor does not, if you ever plan on crossfiring with that board(although I wouldn't recommend it since the second card would run on x4 bandwidth). If you want to cut costs, you could just get premium windows 7 - unless you're positive you need the extra bells and whistles of ultimate.
 
Thank you all for responding, I will go with the Asus 6850 then. I have been wanting the 750w for a long time. I did have a 600w el-cheapy in it for about 3 yrs. When I traded out the PSu's a bearing fell out of the old one. Glad I decided to change. Oh well, maybe I should have gotten the Corsair 650 instead then. As for Windows 7, I prefer the Ultimate or Professional for the security purposes and other things. And if in the future that I put more ram in the computer above 16gb, since this mobo has 32gb max on it. It would have to be the Professional or the Ultimate. The Home Premium has 16gb max. capability to it as the other 2 can go up to 192gb in Windows. I read that on the Microsoft web site. And what I read about the reviews on the FX-6200 out performs the 6100 out of the box. I never have over clocked my cpu's. Screw one up, and I can't afford another one for a long time. I do mostly video, audio and photo editing on the computer, and I have been out of the gaming world for about 6 yrs now. Going to get back into that also. If you been in computer as long as I have, since 1987. I got a little tired of all the games. And I might try my hand at programming again. Did some of that in the early 90's. Thanks again you all.

I'd get Windows Pro over Ultimate, it's cheaper and there's not a lot of difference between the two - only get Ultimate if you need BitLocker Drive Encryption.
 
BitLocker Drive Encryption that is what I was really deciding on. I do put sensitive stuff on my internal and especially my externals drives. And it is going to be retail this time around. I heard they been having troubles with key code activation's if you crash your computer after the first install. I never had trouble with the Windows XP x64 Professional. Probably because there was never a retail version of it, just the system builders version.

Then you'd need Ultimate. Too bad Professional doesn't have BitLocker but oh well...
