Well, the ram should be running around 800 mhz not 439mhz.

timings should be 9-9-9-24 I believe unless you got lower latency memory.

the box says 1600 what is wrong:S

i used to have some old 1333hmz ram in my pc that died would that affect it?

just did that :P thanks for the help

Would upgrading to a newer motherboard be benificial? or would getting a 965 be enough?

Does speccy report the correct numbers now?

I would say just get a new processor. What issues were you having?

constant freezing and very slow exporting photoshop (big canvas sizes) is slow and laggy and general performance of my pc is very slow

edit: yes speccy is all good now

have you ever defragged your hdd? do you do general maintenance such as virus and malware scans? if not those could be the issue. As for the photoshop part, if you mean what i think then those are large files and will be on the slower side no matter.

I defrag very often scan for malware everyday

its not just moving files its actually having a large sized canvas which is no problem doing on other computers

Try out CCleaner and remove any programs you don't need. Also try blowing some compressed air in your computer to clear out the dust, especially in the Heatsink for the CPU.

Ive done all that i have 396 gigs free from my 500gb hdd i constantly check for viruses use ccCleaner, use good firewalla for unwanted shit. idk what is up with it, I might just start to overclock it more

Very bad idea. It's unnecessary wear and tear on the drive. Defrag about twice a year or so. If you constantly install and uninstall programs then once every couple months.

I do mine once a week, but I do move a lot of data.
