the RPM rate of the drive is how fast the head spins. 7200 is the standard for primary drives, or at least it should be. The 5400 RPM drives are slow and laggy.

You want a 7200 RPM hard drive with a 32MB or 64MB cache buffer. The higher the cache buffer, the quicker it is to copy files. Basically this Seagate would be fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148840

Ohh, okay I'll just get a bit better hard drive but I won't worry about that till I come to order it. I might not have the money for several months so I'll post again then haha.

The one bottleneck in a PC is usually a slow hard drive, so you want to make sure you get a good drive!
