DVI-H?
The ones you posted are DVI-D and DVI-I.
DVI-D supports digital signals and DVI-I supports both analog and digital. In terms of which is better both are the same except the DVI-I the cable below is a dual link supports a bit higher resolution at same refresh rate. You can use anyone of the two, but the DVI-I cannot go onto the DVI-D.

You can attach two monitors to the single 670 using the two DVI cables.

When your video card is plugged in, the top DVI is your "main" one. Plug the one that fits into it with all the connectors. (The bottom one in your pics.)

Then use the other DVI for your second monitor.

Either cable will be the same quality at 1080p. The only difference between them is whether they can carry digital, analogue or both.

DVI-D is Digital only
DVI-A is analogue only
DVI-I is both

You can hook up two monitors with 1 graphics card yes, however you can not make it span both monitors in games. On the desktop, you can have it across both monitors, in games it will be on only one

wait, on the back of my monitor, i have 2 slots DVI-In and RGB IN,

and I'm using a RGB to DVI converter, which is the bottom one,

the top one is DVI to DVI, so if I'm using the RGB TO DVI converter does it hinder performance? and i use the converter part on the video card correct?

The blue cable looks VGA (RGB) to me. I would suggest you to avoid it and use the DVI directly.

Ok so I went to frys (local electronics store chain) and I couldn't find any dvi-i cables, so I. Ought a dvi-d cable, is it ok to plug it in the dvi-i cable slot?

It should be, shouldn't see why not, but make sure it isn't a different..... what is that called?...... Sorry, but I can't think of the right word.:o

RGB is not VGA. Use the DVI.

Oh surely, VGA is a RGB signal. RGB mean Red, Green, Blue. RGB are common in AV cable, composite video cable, VGA and some oldest analog video cable. VGA is popular for 24 bit RGB signal when i'm young. DVI also use RGB signal.

DVI-i will not connect to a DVI-d cable. It is forward compatible but not backwards.

I think he meant a DVI-I port on video card. But surely DVI-D cable can connection to DVI-I port on video card.

If you meant to connection DVI-D cable into DVI-I port on video card. You can.

No you can not. DVI-d cables have 4 pins around the slot ish looking thing. Ill circle it in the pic im attaching. The DVI-i port does not have a place for them to go. It will not attach.

Well it is the other way around

DVI-I cables have the 4 pins around that slot, that means if he wants to attach DVI-D to DVI-I then the DVI-D slot will go perfectly in the DVI-I slot.

To to OP, can you post the exact ports that your monitors has?

That is DVI-D port, not DVI-I port on the picture you shown me. Take look at Ankur's post that list type of DVI. If you have DVI-I port. You can use DVI-D or DVI-A cable.

Also take look at this link http://www.playtool.com/pages/dvicompat/dvi.html
