A different build...

The PSU is not enough. To save money, here:
A i7 is not needed at ALL for gaming. Get a i5, nearly exactly the same performance in gaming. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=20138 Also, a i5 2500k is $20 cheaper, but dont you want newer tech?

Power supply is not enough, here is one that is (ask somebody else to, because Im not 100%) http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19011
Also, this one should be enough for that and some upgrades: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php...on=1&keyword=Seasonic+M12II+850W+Power+Supply These are both great power supplys.

Get the 670, not a 7970. Also, you dont need a FTW, but it is only $30 more, has slightly higher performace, and looks cooler.

$1000 gaming rig, and only 500 gb hdd? Here: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=15933

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=138_711_1183&products_id=18071 This is a great mobo if you want to save $15, but if you dont care, get the asrock.

i think newegg.com has better prices if you can order from them. for example, the asrock board sells for $180, compared to $200. and the 670 sells for a littel over $400, compared to over $525. just check all the parts that you have listed, on neweggs site and see how much you save
