O.K, so a few months ago my PC was fried in a storm.

Bought some crappy custom-made PC with onboard graphics.
So I put the video card (that turned out to be fried) into my motherboard.

Any now my screen is red; like, tinted red - but very deep.

I know it's not my screen, i plugged that into another computer also.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks

So you put the video card from the computer that was fried into your new computer? If so then that's your problem. Get a new card. What are the specs on your new system?

It's not the fried graphics card that's the problem, it's the onboard graphics

There is no display when I plug the monitor into the fried video card
The screen is tinged red when I plug into motherboard

Do you reckon I can fix the motherboards graphics?

No you can not fix on board graphics, it sounds like you have a more serious issue on your hands. Can you post the specs of your custom built system without the fried video card? And take the fried video card out of your system, there is no way to fix it.

Nuketown, did you say that you tried to plug in the graphics card that shows the red screen into another computer? If not, then there is no way to test whether or not it is your graphics card that's having the issue. But from what you have told us, it seems like it is the graphics card that's having the issue.

I am just thrown off by what you meant by you plugging "that" into another computer, you mean the monitor?

Yeah I'm also confused. You should try and be more specific so we can help you before you waste money on parts that you might not need.

Sorry Guys

Ok, a few months ago my mum's computer was fried in a storm.

The other day I thought I might like her graphics card, so I inserted it into the motherboard of my PC, which had only onboard graphics.

I disconnected my monitor's VGA cable from the motherboard, and inserted it into the video card I installed.

There was no picture from that video card. I figured it must have been fried.

So I plugged my monitors VGA cable back into the motherboard, but now the display on the monitor is tinged red.

I ordered a new video card.

Hmmmm.... now this sounds a little more interesting. Try turning off your computer, unplugging the monitor's VGA from the on-board graphics card and then re-plugging it again into the on-board graphics card. Turn on your computer and see what happens. Maybe that will fix the redness, because my monitor used to turn different tints when the VGA cable was loosely connected. So make sure you screw in the VGA cable screws all the way.

I was thinking along those lines also

They're in as tight as they will go

Something is amiss with the VGA connection in the motherboard

So hopefully the HDMI port on the back of a video card will fix a few problems.
