PC restart after 3d applications start, is my PSU damaged?

So we had a power outage last night and now my pc will load games fine but as soon as I play them they make the PC restart.

Temps for gpu and CPU are both fine, no issues there afaik, but games like crysis and COD: black ops both are having issues with the restart, Metro 2033 however runs fine with no issues.
Also I have updated my drivers (currently running 301 from nvidia (cleanly, uninstalled, rebooted, driversweeper ran, rebooted, uninstalled, rebooted).
Also I should note that there are NO BSOD or errors thrown, just a hard restart. I have my PC set to not restart automatically if a BSOD occurs.

My specs are:
GTX 560
AMD athlon-2 x4 AM3 630 Quad core
Asus am3+ m5A788-M LX DDR3
Memory ddr3, kit = 8GB PC8500/ 1066MHz (2x4GB chips)
LGdvd +-RW 22x SATA
AC 97 direct 3d sound integrated
integrated network card RJ-45
PSU thermaltake 600W TR2
21.5" LCD Acer LED
HDD Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3360320AS ATA Device

To me it dont sound like a software problem, tho i hope it is. Try re-installing a game thats not working and if it still doesnt, my bet is on a hardware problem.

Also it should be worth noting under event viwer, the only error that has happened during this time frame was a WMI error with an event ID of 10.
The general description reads:

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Please note that nothing is overclocked and everything is running at stock settings

I highly doubt it's the game software, Skyrim restarts the PC too, it's odd b/c Metro 2033 runs just fine.

Honest, i don't know what that means, but if it is a driver issue hopefully it would be fixed by re-installing all your drivers and the game. BTW i know enought to tell you to be careful pushing your computer if you think the psu might be damaged.

You can always try doing a system restore to before the power outage and see if things work correctly.

Unless you have spare parts or spare computer, it will be difficult to diagnose whats causing them problem. If you don't you can try removing the GPU if you have onboard graphics, if you cant run a game try running prime. Secondly if you have 2 sticks of ram or more, you can swap them about and run prime to see if one or more is faulty.

Thanks for the replys everyone, to give an update I have reinstalled black ops and same thing happens :/
I will run prime/test the memory and gpu to rule them in/out.
I've never tested a power supply before but that will have to wait until after the holiday.

Just want to update anyone with future problems, the problem was the video card. They sent me a power supply but same issues were happening, then I was sent a new gpu and everything's flawless now, no problems thus far.
