how can i tell how many cores my processor is? without taking my lappy apart

If you're running Windows, just go to your Start Menu, right-click on Computer, and select properties. You should see your processor's model number. Google it.

We would need to know the motherboard model #.
Download gpuZ and it will give you the number.
Also the model # of your laptop would help.

It looks like you can actually pull off a pretty decent upgrade. Google is your friend when it comes to compatibility, though.

Which cpu is it you want? Like what the name, any in particular? If there is just google the name of the cpu. You rarely see new cpu's like that on google shopping that are sold spereately so chances are it will come up with a laptop.
