I have somehow managed to have 2 operating systems on my computer, one lets me log on but I cant seem to put certain software on. The other one keeps updating and wont let me in. I want to go back to the way it was with one operating system and my d: drive as storage rather than an operating system.. please help!!

Do you have an actual vista install cd? If so, then boot to it and delete exising partitions, repartition and then install windows. What you did was a dual boot install and its not what you wanted to do.

Reformat and reinstall. In Vista setup, delete all the partitions and make one new big one the entire size of your drive, then install Vista onto that. :)
