Hi,
I've got two forums and 3 websites that i would like to get online, and i'm expecting to get a lot of traffic.

What would be the most beneficial and cheapest way to host them? buying my own server and hosting them from home or paying a company to host them for me?

Any help/information that you guys can me will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

To be fair, I'd let a company host them. Unless you are confident you can do it.

Also hosting is relatively cheap nowadays.

Yes, maybe it might be worth paying a company, because as you say it is relatively cheap.

Although i would feel more in control and dont have to bother contacting the hosting company if a site goes down if i host it.

I've never hosted a forum before, so I'm presuming it cost more money to host then just a normal website?

Thanks for the response.

No where you host you get an amount of space. Free hosting only gives like 10GB MAX space. But you can get unlimited if you pay a little extra. that space lets you upload all the files needed for the site and database's etc.

A forum will use more diskspace as it is evergrowing but not much more than a regular site in comparison.

I'd deff get a actual provider to host your sites for you. I myself have several with a company called KuzHost. Downtime has been non-existent and the guy that owns that really knows what he's doing. It even comes with CPanel, which makes setting up everything super easy. And if you have any troubles, he can get everything fixed for you very quickly.

Difference between hosting a normal site and a forum is Nill too. You pay for your sites to be hosted and then do whatever you want with them. Anyways, I would look into it.
http://kuzhost.com/ is what I was referring to, btw.
