if it is showing up and being recognized then you are good. It may have been 2GB only when it released, and not updated. Like some IBM laptops that were 1GB when released (because of 512 being the biggest RAM available) but could very well reach 2GB when the 1GB dimms came out.

on my computer it says workgroup: workgroup
processor:intel (r) celeron(r) cpu 560 @2.13 ghz
memory:3.00gb
that mean everythings ok yeah not going to damage my motherboard or make it over heat?
 
some things here.
1. You can not damage the motherboard with putting in too much memory. Take for exampl the M90 Dell. I can easily put in 4GB DIMMS, but that will not help as the memory controller is 32 bit, I will gain no memory at all. If the board did not support it you either would not be able to POST (no boot) or you would not see the memory at all.
2. Overheating is not an issue. If the memory is running at the same CAS timings and the same speed, you will get the same heat levels.

wen i go on spd and click slot 1 it says
ddr 2 module size 1024Mbytes MAX BAN :pc25300 (333mhz)

slot 2 says:ddr 2 module size 2048mbytes max ban: pc26400 (400mhz)

they running same speeds or that an issue?
