IDE Card Problems

Hey guys, my current PC doesn't have any IDE ports on the mo/bo and I like to use my old HDD's for Linux OS's without partitioning my main drive. (I know I should just get another SATA drive but I'm low on cash ATM) I have a PCI IDE card but it makes windows crash on the loading screen at boot. The BIOS is correctly configured. Any ideas?

I'm not really sure because I have not had much experience with PCI IDE cards although I would check the storage configuration in your BIOS and flip between AHCI and IDE.

Yeah,Its a IDE to Sata converter you want OP,But as we dont have Newegg in the UK may i suggest Ebay instead.
