3.0 Card in 2.0 Slot. Possible?

Ive got this MoBo: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A88TV_EVOUSB3/

And I'm wondering if I could use a 2.1 or a 3.0 PCIe Slot card with it?

all PCIe s are backwards compatible. You can use a 1.0 in a 3.0 slot, and you can use a 3.0 card in a 1.1 slot, and everything in between.
