Women gaming? Also, a gaming laptop has battery life, gets hot, is heavy, and really is a pain to game on. If you truly need a portable lappy, that plays games a little bit, (but still not to good), you should go with a MacBook pro 15. They have good battery, pretty light, but are still a pain to game on, and don't have anything close to the performance of a desktop for this price. You could build a pretty awesome desktop for this price, and have the desktop be small and have a handle, if desired.

.... Then why mention it at all? You can game on a laptop fine. I spent $750 US on my laptop and it can run the newest games fine. Is it my desktop? No. Can I still run everything on pretty good settings? Yup.

Disregarding that, OP, I would suggest a Ultrabook or a High end Laptop.
Browsing newegg, I found these:

What is wrong with a women gamer. :p I have my own team clan and play in
tournaments so I travel a lot. I need to high as possible for the best amount of money. Add me to stream and I will play with you. :).

Is 1gb enough? Also is this a website that has it in £ as I like in England and have to pay a lot of vat to ship it over.

I didn't say women gaming is bad, I was wondering why you put it in the title. Also, NYx, what games do you play? I have tried TF2 and a couple shooters on a moderate sized 15 incher, and it is terrible. It decreases battery life, and my hands feeler cramped, etc. To op, many people go to tournaments with what they call a LAN box. It's a small desktop, and most tournaments supply monitors. I would seriously consider building a desktop, still.

BF3, the newer NFS, a couple MMO's, some FPS's, etc. I've played plenty of new gen games with no issues on decent settings. If you don't plug it in, you will obviously see lower performance. TF2? I can run that maxed fine... not exactly a graphic intensive game.

OP: I was merely showing you what I thought would be good. I'd suggest trying to find the models in the UK, I just used newegg because I'm don't know the standard places to get computers there since I'm from the US.

Novatech and overclockers uk are the good places. No, I have maxed out TF2 with a A6, but the small space of the keyboard and that stupid trackpad, its awful. I have also played BF2 on a lappy, that was so awful it was unimagginable. I had never lost so much in a shooter so much in my life because of the small screen and small space.

To each their own. I use a wireless mouse and have a 15.6" screen, and it's plenty for me to game with when I'm not home. No cramped keys or anything.

The Samsung Series 7 700G7 looks really good. I might see if I can stretch it. I am looking between 1200 mac really. And the reason I put woman in the title because it's more eye-catching as there is not that many women gamers.
