Samsung laptop problem.

Hey guys.

Recently I purchased a samsung laptop from a friend. Within a few months the hard drive went bust, and after trying to get it fixed, I was told it wasn't usable anymore.

I got another hard drive and inserted it into the laptop. The drive is exactly the same as the old one storage space wise, but it was from an Acer laptop, so everything on it is acer based.

It works fine, but as I'm a samsung fan, is there anyway I can make it samsung based. I have a samsung windows 7 boot disk, but need advice before I do it.

Hope that made some sense.

Thanks for your help,

Andy.

You will need to do a fresh install of windows, no other way around it. Actually surprised you even got it to boot to windows with it being a different laptop.

It probably isn't a windows installation disc. they rarely are. You most likely will need to source one. You can download ISOs online, but you'll need to use the license key from the bottom of your machine, if you can't read that then you're SOOL.
