Hey everybody! I'm new here and I just recently caught the wanting to make my own computer bug because I just saw one of my friends have one.. Anyways I'm hoping to replicate a mac mini in some sort, but in a cheaper way, and it also being capable to play Starcraft II well on ultra settings. I would like this computer to be connected to my TV(1080p) rather than a monitor so I was wondering if this build I've been thinking of would be capable enough.

-Gigabyte GA-H61N-USB3 Intel H61 Express Chipset Mini ITX DDR3 800 Intel - LGA 1155 Motherboard

-Corsair XMS3 4 GB 1333MHz PC3-10666 240-pin DDR3

-Intel Core i3-2120 Processor 3.3 GHz 3MB Cache Socket LGA1155

-MI-008 Tower Black P4 Chassis with 250W Itx Psu+sata Power Supply

-Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 1gb GDDR5

-one of them cheap usb wireless adapters derp

I know I'll have to upgrade the PSU, but is everything else good? Will this stuff even fit together or am I missing anything?! I really just read up and started piecing this stuff together on amazon. Anyways Suggestions please Oh and hoping to piece this together under $400
:D

Hi cooler1997, Welcome to CF.

Do you have a budget in mind? Your setup would work but it will play SC2 at medium at best.

Well I generally recommend something about the same performance as the GTX 560 TI but with a budget of $400 that won't happen. I played SC2 on a 450 before. Medium was lag free and still fairly nice. I think the performance that you have with your current setup will be fine. You could try getting a 460 instead of a 450. That would help a bit

the power supply would explode with a 450, and you also need windows, another 100, but you could grab an 8 preview and be fine, that's what i did.

He said he's going to upgrade the PSU. How long does the Windows 8 preview last for?

I am planning to upgrade the power supply to a okia 450w psu so all of that not including the graphics card should come up to $300... now would a gtx460 768MB get me to the ultra on starcraft?

Not sure about Ultra. Possibly high.

Get a Corsair CX 500 or CX 600, that would be a much better option and run a GTX 460 just fine.
