Yea. Love this case to death. Just helping perfect it. As some may already know, I have already slightly modified the case as you may notice here:

And this is the bottom section of which I am going to mount an aluminum plate to to cover it up completely so it will look more sleek (dont mind the dust):

And here is the case of which I will be coming after with a table saw:

I really hate to destroy that old case, as I do miss it. But its time to let it go and make my newer case the best it can be!

So now the part I love, time to power up the saw! (after taking measurements of course)

I obviously messed this whole thing up. First, probably not best to use a table saw to cut aluminum. Second, I dont know how I was so far off on the measurement  . I was certain it was 6 3/8s inches tall and it looks like I was about a half an inch off. All just horribly wrong.

After cutting and a little sanding of the edges:

After painting with high temperature engine paint:

After putting it in to see how it looks, which is kinda stupid:

Might try a different approach to putting it in....

if it is fairly thin aluminum, then just remeasure, make it square and use tin snips to cut it out. Much better when you use the right tool to do a job.

Looks like your well on your way though.

Yea i will need to redo it some other time. Ill just to buy a peice that will fit perfectly instead of cutting it myself.

yea, that could work too.

And sorry for the OT, but that plate over the PSU with the screw on it, is that a mod or standard on them cases. I might be looking to get one, if it is epic for cable management.

That plate came with the case. But i used my saw to cut slots into it to run those cables through as you can see.

could the same thing be done with a dremal tool or maybe a drill? I have a fairly powerful 18v drill I could drill holes with.

how does that case cool your setup with the side on? My 912 kills my 480 with the side on, but temps drop 20* as soon as it is off. That is at 100% usage of coarse.

What do you mean? I dont use the side vent if thats what your talking about. Since it didnt come with a side vent fan (but has a covered hole for one) I saw no reason to put one in as I think my airflow is good enough with 2 140s in the front and 2 140s in the back (I think they are 140mm).

no no. Let me word it better. With both side panels on, my temps are 20* higher than if I remove the entire side panel on the 912. How well does that case run with both panels on?

I dont know how it cools compared to with them off..... I wouldnt recommend running a computer for long with the panels off because there would be more dust and dirt introduced faster. But anyway, it cools fine with 4 fans.

Here is the duct tape route:

I actually wanted some feedback on this. Do you guys think the duct tape makes it look too ghetto or do you think that the black on black doesnt make it look so bad? If it looks too ghetto I can try something else. But for now it hides my PSU and its wire clutter.
