I'm talking about people who play multiple games such as Battlefield 3 and Metro and stuff like that at once, not online games which you may find on sites like MiniClip. :/

maybe you cant afford i7 that's why you keep insisting people to use i5...
I recommend the i5s to people because for gaming an i7 is not needed. Whilst gaming, an i7 would perform exactly the same as an i5. The extra threads which the i7 has do not make a difference in gaming at all.

maybe you don't realize how often the 8 threads are not needed. I am a i7 user and honestly, if you are gaming you will see very little difference. And most people do not play 2 or more games at the same time. For the most part games that run enough threads to take advantage of a quadcore are not going to allow you to play others at the same time. Things like BF3 or COD for example.

maybe you guys need a life and stop wasting your computer for games only...

building a gaming computer doesnt mean you'll use it for games only until it broke down, i mean dont you use it for work or some side lines?

BTW i run 5 SONW, 1 D3 and bunch of music/video editing, can your bottleneck i5 handle that stress?

Yeah I do video and photo editing on my overclocked 2500K, works absolutely fine. I run VMs too and of course work. I don't just play games, in fact I play very games on my PC - only two really. The i5 is a very powerful processor, I think sometimes people under-estimate it a bit. People under-estimate the i3 too. I tried a 2120 and I was very impressed by it, considering it costs less than £100.

We're going way off topic.

I run CAD and work orders on mine, and some other random stuff too. My games are not really even 10% of my computer usage. I do far more games on my laptop than this.

symbol.. last time i checked this thread was about all of them helping me build a computer for a specific purpose... there is a reason they suggested i5. they are arent stupid. im using it for game. i wont be using it for CAD or anything else.. ive put a lot of time into research and there is a reason im not going for an i7 processor.. so i would appreciate it if you get off this thread because you arent helping

also.. if you havent read the thread.. earlier on i mentioned i would be using it for gaming and i included a list (CoD, battlefield, skyrim, etc.) so before you start arguing with people for no reason take some time to read everything before looking stupid
