I was wondering if any vgn-sr battery will fit?

Found on amazon for around $60. But it says it weighs 1kg.. Wtf that's alot for a 4400mAh battery no?

Punch your model number and battery on ebay, they sell tons of cheap aftermarket batterys for laptops. May not be the best quality, but there cheap. For my dell dimension 8200 it was $23.

edit- Sorry the cheapest is $100.

It is shipping weight 2lbs. the actual battery weight is less.

My boss uses Laptop Battery Express. They've been around for a while and are quite reputable. We've ordered many batteries from them and all have worked without an issue. They're based in Ohio, but they do ship internationally.

Be careful shopping for a laptop battery strictly on price. You often get exactly what you paid for!

The thing about laptop batteries is that they have a certain lifespan. That lifespan starts on the day it was manufactured, not the day it gets installed. So, if a particular battery has a 3yr lifespan and sat on a shelf in a warehouse for 2 yrs, it's only got 1 yr of life left.

Spend the money. Otherwise you'll spend more money not far down the road on a new laptop when the cheap battery fries and/or catches your laptop on fire. Believe me, I've seen it happen at work.
