Get the HTC. It's running Ice Cream Sandwich, which is one of the most recent Android OS', while the Samsung is running Froyo, which is several years old now. Plus you'd see faster performance from the HTC.

HTC is a great and reliable brand. Ever since I've gone HTC I won't choose another phone brand :good:

Thanks voyager, i prefer the look of the htc only thing that put me off is slightly slower cpu speed.

But samsung are very poor with updated my current galaxy apollo is still only running froyo with no sign of an update.

Any phone running Froyo is likely to never see any kind of update these days, especially since Jellybean is now out.

The HTC should be fine for whatever you need. If you're looking for more power, bump up your price range to a more powerful HTC phone.

If I were you, I would choose SAMSUNG GALAXY. Especially GALAXY serious is the best selling android phone currently, my first smart phone is HTC viva, I love SAMSUNG now.

Root the HTC and up it to near 800mhz. That's what I did with my 600mhz Legend :P

I do agree that the HTC would be better. It has a lot more RAM, and the newer 4.0 OS. It also has a lot of the same software that the One X has

Just an update, went for the HTC and delighted with quality and performance :)

It has a much smoother flow and the merging of contacts from different social networks was far better than any samsung i have owned.

For now samsung you are officially dumped :)

HTC > Other Phones all day long! I don't plan on going with any other manufacturer anytime soon.

Id have gone with the HTC as well,

Samsung make good smartphones,But like you said they don't bother releasing updates for android.
I'm still running version 2.2 on my GT-I5500.

I'd go with the htc. It's not that samsung is a bad phone company, it's just that their phones are ugly. My roommate has a samsung galaxy mini, and he got sick of it very very easy, so make sure you're worth your investition. One of my classmates has an htc, and it behaves incredibly, so, i vote for the htc.
