Help on building a PC with a tight budget!

I am going to be on a tight budget so I need the best bang for around $500-$600. I have no clue what I need so if you can provide links of the suggested items, thanks a bunch. I can pretty much figure out how to build it on my own.. I just need the build items.

I'd like for it to be up to date in terms of it being 2012, but if there isn't really a huge difference, I'd rather save on the least important parts and focus on the most important parts. It'll be mostly for gaming and other necessities I can't use on my Mac. I'd like to be able to run many RuneScape bots as well.

I know its not much to spend so if anything can be cut off, let me know!

Would this be compatible? It's not my build but a friend who doesn't know much and just looked things up.

If there is anything better to replace for the equivalent or not much of a price range, please recommend.

I know sites such as TigerDirect and Newegg have great parts, but is there any other site that is cheaper? And also, its most likely going to be away from my router so is there a way I can get connection without having a 30 ft ethernet cable?

Newegg generally seems to have better prices but both are good sites. Tiger Direct is big on rebates, which I don't like.

A wireless dongle for USB would connect you to your router just fine.

Hopefully somebody else can you get you a parts list. Do you need Windows 7 or any other peripherals such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc?

I have everything else and as for the OS, I can just ask my friend for a copy!

Okay. Piracy is frowned upon here and discussing techniques of doing it will get you banned. Just so you know. I don't think you're breaking any rules right now but just bear that in mind.

Well that's not what I suggest others to do. Anyways, I wasn't aware of that and I'll edit my post. I just need any recommendations on the build and I've got everything else sorted out...

No I know I wasn't calling you out or anything. I'm just making sure you know so that it doesn't get brought up later. Friendly tip is all.

Yes, thanks for that. I know pirating isn't allowed for legal reasons so i was my fault for posting it.

Any recommendations would be amazing!

what kind of games? you said runescape bots so sometimes people mean those and not battlefield 3 or similar games like that.

Well, it'll be mostly running RuneScape bots, but I mean around 5-6 bots. I don't play many games but preferably Skyrim and any game 2009+.

I may be asking for too much so I don't expect plenty of answers but they have to be compatible! I don't want to waste anyones time!

On the above build the combo is no longer available.
The rest of the components leave $240 for an i3 + Z77 LGA 1155 mb.
or
AMD FX + AM3+ mb.

I have yet to see any suggestions.. Please don't commend if there isn't a build in mind because its not going to help me much.

OP, did you see that post, that has a list of parts you can use, as Ben said above though, the combo deal isn't available anymore.

Please do but I can't tell if you're being sarcastic about my budget, hehe.
Nope wasn't being sarcastic, 600 is perfectly doable. I've gotta get to bed now, but I'll get you a build up tomorrow if you like. For the meantime, take a look at the advice given above.
