permissions help needed

Hey Guys,

I'm setting up a computer for my mother, i am creating a separate user profile for her... i want her to have access to everything on her profile (including icons on desktop) but nothing further... i dont want her to really install programs or mess with certain system settings.. when i try to delete an icon on the desktop from her profile it says she needs permissions from system... how can i grant this access without adding her to administrator group?

Why dont you just make a restricted user?

Go to start, run, cmd, type in
Code: 
control userpasswords2
then just select a user and go into settings and go into group membership
 
Hey thanks for the thoughts.. but that doesnt really help much as i already have an account created (user) for my mom.. i was able to figure out the issue with not being able to delete desktop icons.. it was because the icons were created in the public desktop (so i just removed via admin account) and now she can add and remove icons as she likes.. thanks again
