sorry for my english already, If you dint understand something, please say it to me so i will try to explain it on a different way:)

So,

I re-installed windows xp today on my pc, everything went fine.
I found out that my graphics card ( Radeon hd 4850 ) went to hot,
probaly full with dust etc,
So i wanted to put a other videocard in it, ( Nvidea geforce gt 430)
When i putted it in and wanted to start my pc, my screen stayed black, nothing happend at all, my pc went on, but my screen stays black.
I also found out that the lights on my mouse and keyboard dint work.
I tough it was a motherbord issue.

I also have a orange light led light on the front of my pc, it has some sort of cookie jar sign aboven it (^^) i dont think it is suposed to burn,
The wierd thing is that my power on button should be green when i put my pc on, but it stays off. ( so i hear the pc going ON but led on the power on button is glowing for 1 second and than it switches to the little orange light.

I read somthing on the internet and they said to unplug my pc off power.
I pulled the electric plug out.
I pushed the power on button on my pc when it was unplugged ( no idea why)
And wtf? my pc went on for like 2 seconds and than it shut down again ( when it was OFF POWER! )
But the problem is that it still wont work.

and also, When my pc is on, And i push the power button to get it off again it automaticly goes on again, ( my pc is going on by itself when i push the power button to get it off.)

Hope you can understand me abit and can help me with this problem,

Greetz,

I think i found it,
I saw that the battery was missing,
I think it happend with replacing of ht egraphics card, testing soon!

nope still the same problem,
Can someone give me some information about the mainboard battery?
I realy think its the issue

Does your motherboard have onboard video? If so, then go into the bios and disable onboard video so it goes through the dedicated card.

Guess I should have explained better. If your system has onboard video then hook your monitor to the onboard connector and see if you get video then. To get into the bios, you usually press either the del, f1, f2 keys. Once you see the boot screen, it will tell you what button to press to enter setup which is the bios. Look for a setting to disable onboard video and disable it. Then turn computer off, hook monitor to the dedicated card and turn computer back on and see what happens. If you still can't get video, then your video card is bad.

Well,

When i connect it in my onboard video the problem is the same,
Still black screen and still no mouse and keyboard lights.
I also replaced the power suply today, witout succes :(
I did touch other metal before i replaced the graphics card so i think it cant be the mainboard, but i dont have any other idea's what it could be.
The Radeon hd 4850 was a littlebit to big so i touched the mb's battry,
But i should get a screen without the battery right?

Thanks for you help!

Did you remove your dedicated card before you hooked the monitor to the onboard connector? Yes, you should get signal without the cmos battery. However, its possible you may have done electrostatic damage to the board.
