Hi guys,

For i5-3570k, what are some cooling suggestions? I don't know if i'll be over clocking but I heard it'll help reduce the noise quite a bit. Is this true?

If not, should I not bother buying one then?

Thanks!

Hi,

Whats your budget and currency?

If your not going to be overclocking,The stock cooler is good enough, and imo is quiet as long as you connect it to a PWM connector on the board.

Well there are quiet, near silent coolers and there are performance coolers, if you want both it generally means a performance cooler + a bit for quiet fans

Water all the way.

Because 29C on my air cooling is bad, right ;)

It depends on how much you want to spend on the cooling. Obviously, the more you spend the better cooling you will get (in general), but there are some very good budget coolers out there

29oC on your air means that its around 20 degrees in your room unliess you are defying the laws of thermodynamics - not all of us live in a cold sh**y places ;)

Hi,

I already spent like 1200 canadian dollars on new specs.
What is the PWM that you speak of? I bought ASUS P8Z77 or something like that.

In canadian dollars, I can spend probably qaround 30$ to 60$?

Can't understand lol but anyways....

would any of those help reduce noise? What about the coolermaster 212

Whether you are running at 20 degrees for 50 degrees, it doesn't affect the hardware. It could increase the noise, but it won't bother the hardware greatly. It could reduce the life, but even if the chip spent its entire life at the higher temperature, the chip will be worthless by the time it does because it will last so many years without fault.

The Noctua cooler will be near silent, the fans you have are outstanding at moving air and at remaining quiet.

An alternative

http://www.swiftech.com/polaris120heatsink.aspx

Which is the same heatsink as the Evga, but with a different fan. I would then drop the stock fan and with the $10 saved, take

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835426014

or

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185059

To replace, or put on as well to have in push/pull, but that would (potentially) impact on volume

Hmm... Noctua one like you mentioned, does appeal to me the most, but I think I spent too much on other components. I think i'll try and find the polaris 120 one, if not I'l just have to go with the coolermaster 212... lol

I presume these are all compatible with i5-3570k and the ASUA P8Z77 motherboard
