Asus P8Z77 with i5-3570K

What do you guys think? Do you think the 3570k will better perform with other motherboards or will perform just as well without being noticed?

It should be fine, but a gigabyte board would be a better choice should you ever need support from the company.

What kind of 'support' are you referring to?

As far as the performance/compatibility is concerned, would I be disadvantaged for using ASUS P8Z77 in any way ?

The board you chose is a good one. I don't see any reasons why it would not perform well. If you want an alternate, here is the board that I just picked up with my 3570K

I think if performance-wise differences are minimal with the i5-3570k docked onto it, i'll stick with the asus board I think im going to sell the system in 6 months anyways... because I'm greedy haha

Btw, I finally ordered all of my parts! thanks to your help. (also getting Lexa S, how's the case for ya?)
