help saving money on new build

title says it all, got any tips for getting this build under 2500$ without sacraficing much of the goodies?

As John stated, why would you want a 1000 watt psu. You only need 400 watts in therory. The new i5 & i7 systems require alot less power along with the new gpu cards. I just picked up a Gigabyte GTX 670 OC windforce version and they recommend a 550 watt psu with a new system. Seasonic has a 620 watt psu if you like seasonic, which is a great brand here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095.

Also a few questions

What are you using this for? For gaming a i5 3570K will get it done.
Where are you located? U.S.
Where do you purchase from? Amazon, Newegg, Micro Center has great mobo/cpu combos.
 
4x4GB kits of RAM are usually cheaper.

You may want a bigger power supply for the future, like using two video cards, but even then, all you'd need is a 750w unit.
 
I plan on using this for not only gaming, but I have a few autocads in my near future and I will also be running a minecraft server. And later down the road when my frames start dropping in these later games I will probably want to add another 670 for sli, so I want to leave headroom for that. thats why I picked a 1000watt psu. And the 8g dims are for the minecraft server.
 
Yes I am going to use raid 0, so just a 750watt is enough for sli670's and a moderate whole system overclock? I am also going to be running a 15ft flexible LED strip for some cool lighting. hmm, I just dont know. I would hate to hit a power ceiling and have to buy a new PSU
