Whats the differance?

Also, are AMD Radeon HD 7970's good? I heard they have alot of issues, and would 2 of them be better than a Nvidia Geforce GTX 680 4GB?
 
Their essentially the same card, just one is by the company Sapphire, other is referring to the processor on the card, the 7970.
 
It is the amd radeon hd 7970, they then sell their gpu to companies like sapphire who then change the cooler and re-sell them for profit.

2 7970's would kill a single 680 4gb but there is a big price difference.
