I'm not familiar with raiding, never done it before. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to, or a guide on how-to. I got another Barracude 1TB HDD and want to raid it to my other one for faster speeds. FYI there going to be used for storage, movies, songs, pictures, and data.

Thanks.

Its easy,Just go into your BIOS and set up a Raid array with the 2 drives selected.
Heres a good guide.

Although,If its for Storage...i would be recommending Raid 1 not raid 0.

Tyvm.

May god help you if one of the drive failed as it is data disk. hope you backup the entire volume often.

I'ma go with raid 1 like what Nevakonaza said, it'll be safer right? Raid 0 for speed, raid 1 for reliably?

Yup. RAID-0 is striping, writing data alternatively between the drives. It's faster, but if one drive fails, the data is unusable.

RAID-1 is creating a mirror of one drive onto another, so it's great for backing up data. If one drive fails, you have an exact copy of it on the other and the data will all be fine.

Creating arrays is easy. Just go into your BIOS, find the RAID options and then create an array and specify the RAID you want.
