Where can i buy the best quality blank ( white, printable ) DVDs from please.

Its a simply question isnt it.

Cost..not as important as lasting!!! quality....scratch proof ideally..but i know im wishing here.

Verbatium ..yawn....any others? Anything good out there.

I wanted to buy a BLURAY burner..and still do....but i hear blurays not sure of life expectancy...i want to invest a lot of time making/editing my little movies so i want them stored in the best way possible.

Thoughts opinions MORE than welcome.

The safest and best place to store video/picture's/data is an external HDD and/or USB drive. But if you really need it on a DVD then here, not cheap, but great quality.

Cheers for the reply. However not convinced you know your stuff - I though 'Gold' wasnt actually that great for dvd archival.

I have purchased these in the past..yup, you pay more and so far..so good..they still work but then so does my cheapo dvds too.

Anyone else have any ideas regarding excellent dvd storage?

Im not convinced id like to save my stuff on an external HDD..you think thats better than an internal slave/master setup which i currently have?

Just, i want to make family dvds/wedding etc..so naturally want the best, longest lasting dvd possible.

What about blu-ray? TEMPTED to purchase a bluray player..but then i read..blurays wont last long either..???

Never said I did, just giving you my suggestion.

Then buy the cheapo's then. I mean really, you can't get no better quality on DVD's unless you go to Blu-rays. As you say, "Cheapo's" they will last as long as any DVD as long as you take care of them.

Blu-rays are way better then regular DVD's. Better quality, last longer, scratch resistance, and better picture quality. So the BEST possible disk that you can get for what you need it for is Blu-ray.

Like I said, the safest and best way to keep your data is on an HDD, period. Just keep everything on a HDD untill you need it, then put it on a "cheapo" DVD.

Never heard that before. They last longer then any DVD, with excellent picture quality, scratch resistant, and more available space for data. If you need/want to keep your video's/data on any kind of disk, and you want a reliable source, then it's Blu-ray.

But like I said, just keep it on your HDD, then when you need it, put it on a disk.

No clue what that means; "UK so no yank prices please!lol"?

I know nothing of the gold disk. I assume that it is better because all shiny things are better (reference you won't get).

But as for good brands, I have always used Memorex and Verbatim and they have never let me down. Memorex also makes good floppy disk (not that anyone in the world other than me still cares about that).
