I'm thinking of buying this
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227432
with this monitor
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236123CVF
and with these speakers

My question it what other items would I need to buy to make this all function?
ex. VGA/DVI cables, making sure I can get internet on it and stuff.
Kind of new to this so it would be great if someone could help me out.
(I don't need brand names unless you wanna recommend, I just wanted to know what else I needed to buy to make this fully functional when I buy them)

Also any other hardware recommendations are welcome, if you feel that what i'm buying is not the most reasonable.

Thanks!

Did you ever think about building this PC? It would be pretty easy and saves you a few bucks! :)

Anyways, the monitor should come with either an HDMI or VGA cable to hook up to your computer.

As for the Internet, it has built in Gigabit Eathernet, but if you need wireless, you'll need one of these. That should be good.

If you do want to build it though, I'll help ya get everything ;)

Oh, also try alienware.com. They have some POWERFUL systems there (both gaming laptops and desktops), but they are a bit more expensive.

Thanks :)
But I heard alienware is mostly for aesthetics and that it is just way too overpriced.

So if I buy everything on my list and your recommendation for the wireless, I would be able to run everything just fine? I would hate to build my own so yeah :P

I must agree with ABC123Dynasty. I'm looking at the specs, and if you were to build the system by yourself, you can save so much money (talking about 300~400$). If you are in Canada, try NCIX, as I found that their parts are generally cheaper than canadacomputers and newegg in most. Canadacomputers has good deals for SSDs though.

Do not buy alienware unless it's a laptop. All they do is just mark up the price from the cost they incurred to build a system. You can basically spend like 1 hour or less building a computer and treat yourself like 300$+ extra.

Let me know if you need help finding some parts. I've done this for like 3 months straight for a system I just recently bought.

I understand that building my own pc would be much cheaper, but I suck at it.
Even with step by step tutorial I'll be sure to mess something up.

It would be great if someone can answer my previous question though.

Thank you.
