Install Firefox and use the IETab add-on instead.

voyagerfan, i have the same prob. with ie 9
i tried to uninstall from- control panel, installed updates, hi lite ie9
and then uninstall all goes well but at end - all updates not successfully uninstalled, i am running win 7-(i have done this in the past with vista and it worked-)
i've tried microsoft fix-it for ie 9, and still has problems, i've tried several restore points too and is still mucked up, any suggestions wud help- i know
diff browsers-which i use for internet, but my work security cameras only
work with ie<-- set up by independant security co. also virus scans turn up nil

Next time, please start a new thread as this is a different problem than the OP posted about.
Try using RevoUninstaller.
Make sure you have the proper ie for your system x86/x64. I'm a webdesigner, and i work a lot with IE, but i never had this sort of problems.

Best thing to do is to install Chrome as Firefox is slower and unreliable. And a lot of Firefox users won't admit it

An out-of-date third-party version of Firefox. Yeah, I think I'll stick to the official version when I do use it for testing designs.
Who says it's out of date? It's the same version as Firefox.

Last time I checked it was 14.01 while the official version was 15. Looks like they've updated.
