new desktop connect to tv

hi everyone. i got a big question. if anybody could help me, will be happy))

i just bought new desktop and decide to connect it to my tv (samsung plazma 42" 60 hz). i mentioned what my mouse work not properly - it freeze sometime for a couple sec. sometimes more, sometimes less but it's realy pain in the a..
because i can't use it for games.
my question is - all my problem cause this connection desktop to tv(i'm using hdmi) or something else?do i need to buy monitor for my desktop to resolve it?
i changed my mouse already (bought expensive and good one), but it still the same.
thank you. hope somebody can suggest something.
 
Firstly, when your mouse freezes does everything else on the screen freeze as well or is it just the mouse? If it is just the mouse then no it is not a problem with your TV however if everything on your screen is freezing it is possible that there may be a conflict between your GPU and TV however this is very unlikely.

Does your tv also have a VGA or DVi in? If so try those and see if that fixes the problem.

Is your mouse a wireless one?
 
If its just your mouse freezing, changing connections isn't likely going to help you here.

Try replacing the batteries in the mouse, or if that doesn't help, test with a new mouse

Those symptoms are typical of something else than the tv connection. In fact they have nothing to do with it. Your mouse is out of range of the usb receiver, simple. Don't believe what manufacturers are saying in the flyers. Sometimes it's enough to plug it to the back usb port and voila, mouse is loosing the range. Many times so, if you have a pc by the TV and sitting on the sofa. Change your batteries, if it doesn't work, get a proper mouse for the home cinema.
