Hi :) I just found out that the new hard drive i'm buying is 6GB/S Speed and my otherboards two x 6gb/s ports are taken up, if I unplug my HDD from my 6gb/s port and put it in a 3gb/s will it get damaged? and will I need to make any changes to my computer, installing etc?

Thanks :)

no idea how three threads were created ? :/

Nope. It will still work like normal. Just make sure if its your windows drive that you make sure the boot order is correct. I have deleted your other 2 threads.

Thanks John :) is the order in the BIOS? I'm worried as I have put my current hard drive as /:B drive, so if I moved it to the slower port, and put my new hard drive into the 6gb/s port, will the original drive stay the same in /:B?

Thanks :)

Just make sure the correct sata drive is listed as your first bootable hard drive. When you move drives around the boot order can get changed.
