COD BLOPS 2 Release date 11/13/2012

I've been able to sell my COD games for about 30 bucks each if you sell them a month or two before the next one comes out. If you keep doing that then the new ones don't hit the wallet so much.

That said I'll probably skip this upcoming one. I have too many other games I'd rather play that I don't have time for. The COD experience is too similar to each other to justify the time more than the cost imho.

I can't wait, already taking that day off work! I don't see the need to pre-order though, I'll be buying the hardened edition which comes with the freebies they are giving to people who pre-order.

I'll be getting my preordered copy tomorrow at gamestop. About the same price here in stores.

You guys are happy to pay this sort of money on a game?

I didn't spend £55 on it, because Steam is hella expensive for new games.

£5 deposit + £30 when I go pick it up tomorrow. For a CoD game, no, I am not that happy to pay that much, however it is because there are a lot of people that I play with regularly that I am getting it, so I am not buying it for the game, we all know it will probably be a pile of turd, but for the experience with the others and having a laugh with em

im picking it up on the damn ps3 just for the zombie mode to play with friends... no preorder and 63 dollars unfortunately

This and Halo 4 are getting incredibly high reviews. Makes me want it. Some feedback would be nice from those who get it.

Set 13 years in the future, looks like it was made 13 years in the past... I have seen higher res textures on Tetris.

They need a new engine, they need a new, original idea. It will be the same as every other CoD game, just set later, mark my words. Here's to still playing CoD4, where mods are keeping the game alive and fresh :)

COD takes 'if it aint broke, don't fix it' to the extreme they know they will make a hell of a lot of money regardless of how awful the actual game is.

According to everything I've read, Treyarch didn't follow the same philosophy this time. Would love to hear opinions about the game so far.

Interesting, for the past few years COD has been pretty much the same, would be good if its actually different this time round

I know exactly what you mean. Since COD 4's success, every game after has just been a rehashed version of it. This make me excited for BLOPS 2, as everything I read says it's much different/much better.

I've only played the campaign and a bit of multiplayer. I have a habit of finishing the singleplayer part of games before diving into multiplayer. :P

The campaign is good, as always with any Call of Duty game it's like a Michael Bay movie. The story isn't linear and depending on your actions you can get different endings. The Strike Force missions at first confused me because I don't play RTS games but eventually got the hang of it by just ordering everyone on my team to attack one point and that always turned out for the best.

Multiplayer, I'm having difficulty with. Part of that is still learning the maps and experiencing lag with a 3 and even 4 bar connection. I lose gunfights that I clearly should have won because I fired first. I don't know if it's the hosts I'm connected to are far away or my internet connection. 3mbps down should enough to play online.
