Cheap Alternative to Expensive Gaming Glasses

I spend the majority of the day in front of a Computer, whether it be in class or at home and is starting to put a strain on my eyes. So I was wondering if anyone on here could suggest some good yet cheap computer/gaming glasses? The ones I saw on the internet where almost $100+ I honestly would like to spend no more than $30. So is there any type of alternative for $30- that will work just as good as the high valued Computer/Gaming Brand glasses?

You may be able to turn the brightness down and see if there's any software that darkens the bright whites which is the main issues IIRC. Also, you can get some cheap yellow tinted glasses online or something at that may help

That is what I had intended to ask on my OG post, I guess it didn't come across that way. I have seeing some yellow tinted glasses like on eBay that are in my budget just didn't know if they had to be special or if this would work just as good. Gunnar are just way too expensive.

Just found this, what y'all think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/360495613696?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

I have GUNNAR Gamer E11ven Advanced,While not exactly cheap at £59-65...they do make one hell of a difference and are worth it.

I no longer get tired when using the computer, and it adds contrast and definition so when playing games the colors look nicer.

Those glasses you posted, look alright...but i doubt they will be anywhere as near as good as if you went with some GUNNARS.

I agree, they might not be as good by any means but I'm sure they would work okay. They get here either Today or this Friday. Figured I'd try and "See" since they were only $9 shipped and have a 30 day return warranty. Never owned or used such glasses, in fact I never heard of them till a few weeks ago. so I'm waiting to see

No. Best you might be able to do at that price is a anti glare coating.

Anti glare does jack for computer use, it prevents glare, that is it. If you wear glasses, you will know exactly what I mean. One pair of mine has the coating, when you walk past light or look at them, it is like looking at them without glasses on, when there is no coating you can see the spots where the light is reflecting from the lens.

The gaming glasses are totally different. You don't get glare without glasses, it is the brightness straining your eyes. They are tinted, so the light, whilst still light, is nowhere near as harsh.

@OP, some mildly tinted sunglasses will do the same job. You will lose some picture quality as all colours will appear darker, but it will reduce the strain on your eyes
