Video Card Replacement. AMD Based

Just read your post again and look for the link between the actual problem and your info, then try to find a solution for the problem in your post.
If that's done, you'll understand and try to help the OP right.
 
Yea, when i went in there and told him to build me a computer, i specifically told him to build me a computer for gaming. I told him the computer i had previous to this one wouldnt even RUN THE INSTALLER for Diablo3, and he said, oh yea, this one will be able to run the majority of games on high quality pretty fast, which i know now is very false. I had no idea what to buy and how to put it together back then, but now i do. And when i said i wasnt looking forward to buying a new psu, i just meant that i think it would be frustrating to unplug everything and putting the new psu in would be kind of annoying/frustrating. As for the gpu, its easy as pie, just take out the old one, slide in the old one, and screw it into the case, and dl the drivers. haha. I was planning to go there n ask why he built me what he did when i was at my dads, but the shop was closed when i was there, (lives 3 hours away) so i'd have to go back another day. And for the warranty thing, i think its too late to get my money back by now, its been 4 months. So im not sure what id do. I would LIKE to get my $1300 back and build my own computer. Im sure with that much money i could get a wayyyy betterr computer than this one :/

Hi, I would contact him and see if there is some kind of compromise that can be made. It's been 4 months but he may be willing to help make things right.

Hmm guess the OP saw what I was getting at by his response. Now stopping acting like a 12 year old and act like a 17 year old and let just let it go.
 
OP, look what I and others recommended you, if you do that you'll be fine. Nothing more or nothing less.
The gtx670 will work fine with a 700watt psu from a good brand like corsair/ocz/xfx/antec..
650watt should be ok too, a 700W only gives you some more headroom.

Ok, So, i got a GPU for christmas! unfortunetly it was a Zotac GTS 450. I didnt install it, i decided to keep it till monday then return it for my money back, then use the left over i have, and buy a 660. would i be able to use the 660 with my welfare 880Watt PSU and NOT fry my cpu and gpu?
 
You could but i wouldnt trust it for too long. And also, a 7850 is cheaper for barely less performance, or the 7870 for a couple bucks more has a decent bit more performance.
 
Ok, cool. How bout the GTX580 Twin Frozr? would that be any different? Ive seen people running that and getting pretty high frames in games??
