Cannot open more than 10 tabs in IE10 Metro (Win 8)

When I open the 11th tab, the first tab disappears from the list of tabs, so I can never open 11 tabs. Now, when I close this new tab, the first tab that disappeared, doesn't come back. I have 9 tabs and the first tab is just gone. Is this a bug? is this a feature? or am I doing something wrong? The traditional desktop version of IE10 doesn't have this problem, only the metro IE10 does. If anyone knows a fix, please suggest. Thanks.

I tried it in metro and I was able to have 15 tabs open at once. But also, are you running Windows 8 standard or Pro.They have 3 versions of Windows 8. Maybe each version has a different setup. I myself, is running Pro. x64. With 8gb of 1866 Ram. I prefer Fire fox for my browser. But I did the test in IE 10.

Doesn't work for me, I cannot open more than 10 tabs :(
m on win 8 pro, 32bit, on a VMware player virtual machine (2GB RAM for VM) running in Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit (8GB RAM, intel i3 2310M)

Are there other browsers for metro? I installed fx but it won't run in metro, it takes me to the classic desktop (which I don't like much. Windows 7 desktop looks way prettier than windows 8 desktop IMO. m not a big fan of solid square non-transparent window borders with sharp edges. When I want a desktop, I switch to Win 7, and when I'm in Win 8, I want metro).
Thanks for your reply bro.

EDIT: What's the resolution of your screen? I'm getting this feeling that my super-low resolution (1366 x 768) screen is preventing me from opening more than 10 tabs in IE10 metro, simply because there's not much room left on the screen for the 11th tab thumbnail to appear on the list of tabs when I right click. But still, killing a tab automatically (without my permission) to make room for a new, is somewhat outrageous..
