Building a new computer

I have the MSI 760GM-2 (FX) Motherboard because I want to build a cheap computer to put all the old games on. One of the biggest problems I have is taking all the wires from the case and putting them on the motherboard. Just to get the computer to work all I need is the power switch and reset switch? The motherboard manual is never clear about it. I get my flashlight, glasses, magnifying glass and hope I connect the right wires. Is there any better info than the manual which isn't very good on how to connect these wires?

Manuals are pretty good about where the case wires go. I was gonna look at the manual for your board but it seems you haven't posted the correct model number as there are a bunch labeled as 760gm but there is usually a letter and numbers such as 760gm-p33. Give me the correct model number and I should be able to help you better.

It's a MSI 760GM-P23 FX
Thanks

Ok, downloaded the manual and yes its pretty self explanatory. I'll see if I can make it clearer for you. I'll edit my post in a few minutes after making a drawing or something for you.

PL = power led
PS = power switch
HL = HDD led
RS = Reset switch

These get attached to jfp1, if you have a speaker connection then it gets attached to the top 4 pins of jfp2. When attaching the case connections make sure the writing on the connectors face the bottom of the case so positive and negative are orientated correctly.

I printed out your post and will use it tomorrow. I just bought all the stuff to build a cheap computer today and this is the first time in years I have built a computer. I have the manual which came with the motherboard and I assume it's the same one I can down load? Thank you for your help
