hi is there any good softwear out there to speed up my laptop before just going and getting a new one haha.

You can uses AVG PC TuneUp, this sort out your registry, finds any broken links, optimizes your startup and defrags your computer.

You can also use cCleaner. This get's rid of all your temp files etc from your browsers and software and also fixes your registry.

I do recommend you SpyBot Search & Destroy. It's free and it gets rid of spyware.

I also use Bitfender. This is an anit virus, firewall and cleans your system.

Its already included in windows. If you are running XP then click on start, click on run, type msconfig and hit enter, click on the startup tab and disable any programs you don't want running at bootup.

If vista or 7 then click on start and in the search box type msconfig and hit enter and continue as usual.

I have a ASUS X5DC its not the best but its alright 3gb ram running windows 7 x64 bit

There's nothing quite like taking a new laptop computer out of the box for the first time. It boots right up and everything from navigating the web to launching different programs seems to run at lightning speed.
