Gaming Desktop Computer Problem

Hello

A friend of mine recently bought a new gaming computer off of a well trusted ebay seller.

The computer only has 3.75GB of its 16GB usable, and when playing minecraft and Arma 2, it randomly restarts the computer about 15 mins in. He has no problems when it comes to Amnesia or Garry's Mod. I think it is a RAM problem as both of these games are high memory users.

Any ideas guys?

If there's only 3.75GB of the 16GB usable, the computer most likely uses 32bit Windows OS.
 
Probably caused by the power supply. I bet it has a cheap generic power supply which is not good enough to power his graphics card.

What are his system specs exactly?

And why would you install a 32-bit OS on a system with 16GB of RAM? Do these system builders on eBay really have NO clue what they are doing?
 
It doesn't come with the OS, its just my mate installed that. I wouldn't have bought off ebay but thats his choice. For the components its a reasonably good price. We can play Arma for about 15-20 mins then shuts off. So i don't think its the PSU. 450W can power a 6450, my 500W could power a 6850 no problems. I am thinking maybe something to do with overheating? I will get him to monitor his temps.
