I have finally finalised by gaming build. Would some of you be able to take a look and tell me if there is something wrong/un-recommendable?

CPU: Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)

PSU: Corsair TX650V2 Enthusiast Series 650W TX ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze PSU

HDD: Seagate ST31000524AS 3.5 inch Barracuda 1TB GB 7200rpm SATA Drive with 32MB Buffer

RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Two Module Kit

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V PRO Motherboard (Socket 1155, 32GB DDR3 Support, ATX, Wifi, Intel Z77 Express, Network iControl, USB 3.0, SLI/CrossFireX Support)

GPU: EVGA GF GTX 660Ti SC+ 3GB GDDR5 Graphics Card

Wireless card: TP-Link TL-WN951N 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter

Optical drive: LG GH24NS90.AUAA50B 24x SATA Bare Internal DVD Rewriter - Black

Case: NZXT Phantom USB 3.0 Big Tower Chassis - White

All of these are in my basket on Amazon and this totals at: £851.87

Is there anything that may save me some money without decreasing performance?

And general thoughts on this build?

Thanks all!

HDD - I think ST1000DM003 is the later model?

RAM -How much is Corsair? I remember recently I have seen G.Skill 2 x 4 GB DDR3 2133 are quite cheap.

wireless adaptor. If you face your machine against the wall/ put it under the desk. I would recommend you go for usb instead.

Motherboard - I am not sure if it is necessary to go for £145 motherboard. You could go for lower end £100 - 120, then use the money for aftermarket cooler.

Case - Do you really need full tower? Most mid-tower will do the job.

Links would be nice. I'm not spending all that time to look up all the prices.
A quality 550-620w ps is enough.
I too would choose a diff hdd.
The case is the only part that won't improve performance. So unless your set on that, you could save some there and change it later.
Sounds like a cooler isn't in the budget right now and you can get one later, but when you do the tall heats spreaders on that model Vegeance will most likely be in the way.
Unless your games/programs utilize cuda you can get a cooler running on less power 7950 for the same $

Would you be able to recommend me a USB wireless adapter? And why would you change the HDD?

And sorry about no links, I was mainly concerned about any problems with compatibility and if there were some parts that people would not recommend...

If the ASUS motherboard you are using has wifi then why add another wireless adaptor to the mix? Save the money and dump that.

This is a very similar build to mine.

You can get a USB model of the Wi-Fi adapter you chose which I have and recommend.
I also have that case and although it's much bigger than I need, I feel way more comfortable inside it because nothing is cramped, there is plenty of space for future upgrades.

I would also recommend a Gigabyte Z77X UD5H against the board you chose. I have been let down twice with that board before (Perhaps I might have been unlucky...)

ST31000524AS slower than ST1000DM003. Unless you already have it, why not getting better one?

I have no preference on the brand of usb adaptor, Something with N300 will do. Or you can get slightly more expensive dual band if you want to.
