The EVGA is clocked higher, but the ASUS has dual fans which will cool alot better, and give you better OC'ing potential. I would go for the ASUS personally.

Edit: Other then the manufacture name, and the above, there pretty much the same.

See if you can enable texture warming in the game. It sounds like a CPU issue to me.
