Iv'e gotten at least 6 BSOD in the past two days, and I think it's my RAM, either both sticks or one.

My question is; When I do get the BSOD, at the bottom it says 'collecting information', where does it store that info on my PC so I can take a look?

I really need to know whats causing it, any help greatly appreciated.

Edit:

FYI, when I have mine craft, IE, and eve online open, I get a message from my OS saying 'low memory, please close to free up memory'. I have 8GB of RAM, why is it saying that?

Make sure you have a sufficiently big PF.

In msconfig, disable restart on BSOD, that will allow you to identify the issue.

I googled it, it's done. Didn't need to go through msconfig.

So now it wont restart on BSOD, whats the benefits of that?

Edit: would you happen to know why my PC is telling I have low memory, when I have more then 2 things open?

And thanks bigfellla, really!

You're welcome bro.

Sorry, just make sure wherever your page file is, its sufficiently large enough.

The disable restart on bsod, allows you to review the particular system file or whatever that is causing the issue. If its memory you will probably see an IO issue.

Ok, ty.

My page file is set to 1024MB, that's for Initial and Maximum. Should it be more? Should I let MS manage the size?

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Yeah, start by running memtest and see what happens. Definately have a memory issue.

So my gut feeling was right, damn. Ok ill run memtest, how long should I run it for, over night?

FYI, I have XMP enabled which puts it at 1600@cas9, will it help if I disable the XMP and let it run at 1333? Just till I get the money for new Ram?

Edit: What about Windows Memtest? That any good?
