Raid configuration

So my 1Tb in my server/HTPC is giving up and not always responsive and the 2Tb is full.
Thought about just replacing the 1Tb with another 2Tb or even a 3Tb. But have thought now of maybe putting in 2 new 3Tb and setting them up in raid 1 set up in case one of the drives fails at any time.
Is it worth it in peoples opinions?
How easy is it to do using XP?
My board supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 0+1, RAID 5 and JBOD
Cheers

Make sure your board supports drives larger then 2tb. Without UEFI bios you will only be able to use 2tb drives.

Hi Johnb, thanks for another helpful reply.

Checked out and doesn't seem to have UEFI bios so looks like will have to run it with 2Tb max hard drives. So have had another thought since board only has 4 sata ports and 2 are in use (1 for OS and other for disk drive) would use 2 for 1 raid set up with 2Tb drives, and since they're full get a sata controller card for one of the expansion ports so can have a couple more hard drives through that.
