trouble with firefox and google

So as of yesterday I'm unable to get to gmail. Google is my homepage, and when I load Firefox, I'm already signed in but when I click Gmail, I get the following message:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.

I didn't change anything concerning cookies within the browser options, and gmail loads fine if I use Internet Explorer. I can't even sign out using Firefox.

Any suggestions?

It's Firefox's homepage not working properly, I would suggest going with Chrome. My GF's has been having the same problems, Firefox has been acting weirdly lately.

I thought there was a bunch of computer geniuses here.
anyway thank you for your response punk but I dont really care for chrome

Actually there are but if they don't have an answer for you it's because it's FF that's being stupid lately.

Ive also found FF to be incredibly problematic these days,Flash keeps crashing..the Minimize/close buttons keep dissapearing and overall does not seem very stable.

I don't like any other browser though so stuck with it until they sort it!

Op,Have you tried an older version of FF?

Unhappy Firefox users should switch to Palemoon :D

You actually don't have to switch browsers in this case (Even though Firefox and all its derivatives, including Palemoon, are terrible).

What you need to do is clear all your google cookies. Go to Firefox Menu > Options > Privacy tab > Remove individual cookies.

Then put "google.com" without the quotes in the search box, and delete all the cookies with google.com in their name. Then try to log into Gmail again.

I personally recommend Chrome by the way if you plan to switch to another browser.
