Free antivirus software

I have desktop systems at my home as well as my office..I have already licence version of Norton at my office.But I want to install some good and free antivirus at my home which is easy to use,light weight and can be updated on slow connections.I have to use internet,USB divices and DVDs/CDs on my both systems nearly everyday.I have high speed internet connections at office and slow connection at my home.

I appreciate expert's advice in this ragard.

Except for it is an office computer, so unless he is in the IT department, he has whatever the company gives him

Avast! Or the aforementioned MSE are your best bets. I personally use Avast! on all of my home computers, except for my laptop which is running Windows 8, so already has MSE as standard.

I am currently avast with malwarebytes and superantispyware. It has been working well for me.

It does take a little while to first update but then runs well. If you have a speed like mine which can drop to 0.04mbps, you will be fine, as it still downloads at that speed, but the first time if you are that slow can take like two hours

MSE is a good choice. It's what I use when I have to reinstall people's PCs and they want a free AV.
